We are currently recruiting for a Chief Engineer for Water Treatment and Residual Resource for our client in Arizona who are an international mining company. The position will be based in Oro Valley in Arizona providing engineering solutions to water treatment processes. For this position you must have a degree and be experienced in hydrometallurgical processes, liquid/solid separation, and water treatment projects.
This position will be responsible for supervising, enhancing, and monitoring the water treatment engineering function on site. This role will supervise, review, investigate, and develop recommendations for planned engineering projects and will serve as project manager and technical expert on large complex projects including construction, modification, and expansion projects.
This position will be responsible for the evaluation, review, and administration of vendor contracts for services and equipment. The chief engineer will contribute to the site strategic planning and budgeting functions for the designated engineering areas.
The chief engineer will work with the site team to provide guidance on applicable programs, practices, and local, state, and federal regulations. This role will report all environmental compliance issues and will make recommendations to the appropriate site management personnel.
For this role you must e degree educated and have over 7 years engineering experience within water treatment, hydrometallurgical processing, mine water chemistry, acid rock drainage, and the chemistry of hydrometallurgical circuits. You must also have experience in the design and engineering of mine water treatment plants or hydrometallurgical plants.

We are recruiting for a Chief Engineer of Mineral Processing for a mining operator client of ours to be based in Arizona. The role will be based in Safford temporarily and will move to Tucson before the end of the year. For consideration for this position you must be based in America and have a degree in a related engineering subject with 7 years experience within Mineral Processing. You must also have experience in managing complex mineral processing engineering projects and in leading engineering teams.
This role will be responsible for leading scoping studies, prefeasibility and feasibility studies and pilot plant schemes. The role will oversee all aspects project development and will review the detailed design criteria, heat and mass balances, flowsheets, process control and P&Ids. The position will be responsible for engineering design and equipment sizing, comminution, high pressure grinding rolls, floatation, leaching, roasting, and autoclaving.
This position will be tasked with undertaking in plant metallurgical audits, plant surveys, in plant troubleshooting, process reviews, and will evaluate and develop new technologies. For this position you must also be conversant with mineral processing models, i.e, JKSimMet, JKSimFloat, MetSim
